Hey

Does anyone else have IBS ? I have it and im really struggling to manage it. I am drinking a lot of water and trying to eat very plain food but I still seem to be getting symptoms and the problem is im starting to get MS nausea and I dont relish having both at the same time.

Any natural solutions would be much appreciated .. .

I have had it with both my pregnancies so I can sympathise. Im yet to find anythign that helps though I did see a new product in the chemist that was herbal but not sure if safe in pregnancy (cant remember the name sorry) for me though all the herbal remedies just make me vomit so its one extreme to the next.

Ill be keeping an eye on this thread, good luck

hi,
Unfortunately its actually the pregnancy hormones in your body making that happen. The excess of hormones give you side effects such as IBS. Im sorry I dont know of any cure that is safe to use while pregnant, I hope someone can here has an idea, as I would like to know too for future reference!:)

thank you for your replies but I am a bit disappointed, things are starting to settle down again... the funny thing is I think I only have IBS symptoms no morning sickness ...

At the start of this pregnancy I had awful nausea 24/7 and I had the runs EVERY DAY for 14 weeks. It was horrible!! I hope you find a solution

I had shocking IBS in my last pregnancy. I would wake 3-4 times a night with terrible pains - almost felt like contractions - and really bad diahorrea.

I was advised to take Slippery Elm in powder form. It worked immediately! I was amazed....after about 6 weeks of horrible pain, one or two teaspoons of this stuff fixed it.

Try your local health food or pharmacy. Perfectly safe in pregnancy. Good luck.
