Kata Beach Phuket - any shopping there?

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if there is any good shopping at Kata Beach Phuket? It is further south from the famous Patong beach. ANyone know how far it would be to go into Patong from Kata for shopping?

theres a little bit of shopping htere but patong is better..it would take maybe 20min to get to patong, ive only done in a hire car so not sure how much by taxi..i didnt actually think the shopping in thailand compared to bali or kuala lumpur however and did find it a little more expensive, more geared towards the european market than the australian market for designs and prices...but not bad
