do you breastfeed? If so i would pop her straight onto the boob as soon as its done, nothing better then a booby feed.
Also there is a cream you can buy that will numb the area, its called Emla cream. I use it for all my needles.

I think usually it is the shock of the needle that they cry with the most. I usually recommend people to feed, ie breast or bottle after having them done. They need to wait 10 to 15 minutes anyway.
I didn't think you could use Emla on children under two?
Good luck. With DD1 DH came and I waited in the waiting room. With DD2 I was totally going to be brave....and then three hours before rang DH and begged him to come because I was freaking out. He came and I left the room when the needles were being down. I'm not scared of needles at all for myself but I hate, hate, hate the 2 month needles. So glad I never have to do that again.
I have vaccianted so many kids and I have seen all kinds of Mum's (and Dad's) and in my experience the worst thing a Mum can do is get anxious, cry that kind of thing as the baby picks up the vibe- I know it's hard not to but be brave for your bubba!
Breastfeeding is good if they are not too upset the other thing we recommend is when they are over to stand straight up and walk around with them, bounce them etc then they know it's all over. If you keep sitting in the chair with them they wonder what else is coming.
Be prepared - they will hurt and most babies will cry ( not all surprisingly - some just seem to fall back to sleep!). The 2 month ones aren't too bad-it's the 4 year old one that are the worst!!! She'll be fine-good luck!!! :)
How did she go? Actually more to the point...how did you go???

Thanks for your advice everyone & for thinking of me ck2b:hugs:
I didnt cry:D
I was actually quite calm & just held her & talked to her telling her how much i loved her & how brave she was.
It was awful though:(
As soon as the jabs were over & she was crying i stood straight up with her & walked around. She stopped crying.
She has been real grizzly all day, not really eating & just wanting to sleep....ive been giving her panadol every 4 hours & we had a nice warm shower together & she's asleep now.
Hope she'll be ok.
Well done :) It's not nice but they do forget pretty quick at this age and sounds like she having the normal reactions.
I had a poor mum in today who was almost hysterical. She had been crying all morning and had to get her friends husband to come in and hold the baby while she waited outside and cried - poor thing and her bubba was over it in about 1 minute!

wow - you must be so brave doing it all day long to babies:yes:
I thought id be alot worse than i was, i was kind of proud that i just took her in & got on with it. I knew that if i made a fuss it would make it worse for her!
Next time DH can take her! lol
:hugs:Yay hun, I am glad all went well.
