Where did they go???

Oli has been teething for a while now. Last week his gums were bleeding where two teeth were trying to poke through. He's been dribbling like a waterfall, and has been in pain till yesterday when they both reared their heads. I could feel the teeth had cut through. Poor little man two in one day!!!!!!!!

Today they have dissapeared. There is little sign of them. His gums feel swollen where they cut, but there are no teeth there. Have they dissapeared. I'm a little confused. They had definately cut through - i could feel and see them.

Is it common for them to dissapear like that. How long till they rear their ugly heads again!!!!!

I have heard of teeth coming and going. My yougest is a couple days younger then your little one (16th was his due date :D ) going through similar things. He had a blood blister the other night, and I was sure I felt them coming yesterday, but nothing today. They could come tomorrow or they could come in a couple of months I am afriad. Hope he is feeling better :hugs:

The same happened to my DS, she is cross cutting so i first felt a tooth coming through (bout 3rd back, bottom) and then the next day on the other side too, but a few days later the first one was gone! I was so confused! And kinda annoyed cause i'd put it in her baby book too, grrrr!

She still has one coming through, but there is no sign of the other one still, guess we'lll wait and see!

This is quite common. Teeth will 'float' in the gums before perminantly rearing their heads.

Yep as bec79 said they often "float" it sucks doesnt it !!!!
Boof has had this problem since he was born & its horrible i was so glad the day he finally cut one at 10mths !!! 10mths of hell & now we have started all over because he is getting his molars. I just wish they would come through :banghead:
