Stomach aches

I am 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby and have felt like I have had acid in my stomach coming in waves over the last three days. At first I thought it was just the huge lunch I had (out celebrating my anniversary with my husband and lots of rich food!) but it hasn't subsided. I didn't have anything like this with my first pregnancy. Do you think this is related or am I maybe actually sick!:rolleyes:

Sounds a bit like heartburn or acid reflux to me. Try taking an ant-acid, like mylanta or Rennie (rennie has the added advantage of being a calium supplement too!)

see if that settles it, if not, talk to your GP. BTW, reflux and heartburn are both common complaints in pregnancy, even early pregnancy, and both of the antacids I mentioned are safe to use, if used as recommended on the packs, in pregnancy.

Thanks for all of the kind thoughts and advice. After almost a week it seems to have disappeared although I now have heartburn! Hopefully as this is very different from my last pregnancy we may have a boy giving us the pigeon pair!:smiliedance:
