Hey Girls,
I have a friend who had a baby boy in early Feb. She doesn't come and play on bubhub and so i thought I might ask for her.
She is wondering how what to do with her little boy at this young age. I was happy to stare at my little boy until the sun went down so I have no idea.
Can you help

I have been putting miss S on a mat for floor play time, I put a ball next to her and she will try to move the ball which is very cute, tummy play time is very important as well as it strengthens their muscles for crawling.
She could also try contacting the local council and finding out if there are any playgroups, kindergyms, new mums groups, etc and then they can get out of the house and meet other mums and bubs about the same age. Aust Breatfeeding Assoc is another good one if there is a group in your area.
Hope that helps.

Ds doesn't like tummy time, but I offer it at least a few times a day anyway.
We cuddle, have skin on skin, I stare at him, sing silly songs, play music, he loves his bath, we spend a lot of time feeding (omg like, 8 hrs a day or something), and he sometimes sits on a pillow across my lap while i am on bubhub :)

I'm in Narre as well & had a bub in mid Dec. There are loads of playgroups in the area - get her to call maternal health, who will give her info on ones nearby.
Several churches run Mainly Music if she would like to get involved. It might be a little early for bubba but she'll get to meet other mums.
When bubs is a wee bit older, there is a Gymbaroo that operates in Berwick.
Other than that...I use a book called "Slow & Steady - Get me Ready" which has weekly activities from birth to 5 years to help with development & (later) getting ready for school. I find a lot of inspiration in it for suitable activities for both my 2 month old & my 2 year old. I also play music, sing, let my girl have a kick on her playmat or a wee swing on her swing...she loves lying on my lap & watching me make faces at her (always elicits a smile).
Is your friend involved in a maternal health-run parents group? If not (& it's her 1st child), get her to call them up & check if she's on the list for an invite for one (they send out a list of days & times to choose from). My 2 year old's parents group is *still* meeting & it's been wonderful to connect with mums in the area with kids the same age - they've effectively grown up together & love going round to each others house to play each week (while us mums get some time out).
