My dh is going away for just over a wk tomorrow and i was wondering what you all cook when its just you and the kids? I dont want to have to cook big meals but still want the boys to have something healthy. What ideas do you have?

Casseroles are really good, or sheppards pie, pasta, rissoles with vegetables or salad, stir fry with noodles, apricot chicken....
There is lots!
Hope this list helps! :yelclap:

Sausages and mash is usually a winner with kids!
Spaghettie should be edible with the kids too.
burrito's is a hit with me and my lil man (Altho he usually only heats one..so if you get REALLY hungry and the kids will have 1 each..you can pig out)
Burgers and chips from the take away shop is usually good (homemade burgers) same for hotdogs
chicken nuggets and chips too.

I give my kids a little salad as I call it. A plate with some cold meat, usually ham, cheese, sultanas, bread, apple or other fruit. They love it and nearly always eat the whole lot.
