Hi, we were talked into buying a 'Turn a Tot' car seat B4 bub was born by a sales woman who really saw us coming... its been OK up until now, but bub is now 10mths and really wants to sit up & even after turning seat to child position & putting it as upright as it will go it still seems too reclined and bub strains to sit up when put in....... Has anyone else had same probs or is this normal?? Can anyone reccommend a better buy?? (Planning on bub no.2 so need another anyways....) - Thankyou!

I think the best way to go is for the Safe n sound Maxi Rider, thats what my DD and DS have as it lasts from 8kg - 26kg so until they're out of a booster seat as its a convertible carseat/booster seat. They use the 5point safety belt until they weight 18kg and then the normal seatbelt with an antisubmarine clip until they are 26kg. Its brilliant! It has fully upright and recline positions so you have a choice too and obviously eliminates the need for any other seat as once they've outgrown that they're ready to sit int he normal seat. I think they're for around 6 months- 7 years old so really good value for money!

I agree great saftey features and the fact that they can stay in it so long. it is what we will be getting.

Thankyou for your replies - v much appriciated and we will def look into the Maxi Rider! Cheers:kiss:
if you are planning at stopping at two then get the maxi rider .... if not be warned it is very wide. I couldn't fit one into my car with another convertible (for bub) with putting my eldest even on the seat in between even in my dad's 4 wheel drive.
i went and got a IGC convertible for my new bub and my middle one and have no troubles now with normal seat ......
I had the same trouble with my turn a tot but I still recommend it to people .... it was so much easier than having to reach over the anchor strap after the c-sect.

Hello..
Yes i have seen the earlier versions around before. They were substantially cheaper but didn't include the arm rests. I think they were phased out for the new ones but they used to have them at Toys R us (not sure if they still do). Maybe a quick phonecall to some baby shops would help?
we just bought the safe n sound royale a babies galore which is convertible and reclines etc oh and it's on sale :D
