Thrush and early pregnancy

Well last time I had thrush was when I was pregnant but didn't think anything of it because I got it really early in PG (in the TWW) it was then what made me consider I was pregnant as I called DP and said I have thrush and then we agreed I would get HPT and it came up BFP straight away.

Another thing that makes me consider the connection between the two is I sms'd my very good friend this morning and said 'i have thrush' and she come online and said 'so do i' and I found out a few days ago she is UTD

Anyone else have experience with thrush being a sign of early pregnancy in their TWW? Is it very common?

I guess I will know in 9 days if it is or not, but just want to know your experiences

I had the same thing with DD1 & DD2 (but worse).

TTC #3 and now sorta the same thing :confused: I hope so! (no not the thrush part) lol guess we'll know in about a week or so !

I felt really uncomfortable down there the week between ovulation and implatation- as though I was going to get thrush and my trips to the toilet tripled!- so I started taking Cranberry tablets! The pain quickly eased and I never got any of the white grossness associated with thrush. The :bfp: followed!

Not sure if there is a link between the uncomfortable feeling and pregnancy- be interesting if there was! Either way- cranberry tablets seem to work wonders (although they apparently sway for a girl- so if your aiming for a boy you might want to avoid prior to ovulation!)

TMI, but I got thrush a few days after I think I O'd and BD.

Now today, I keep getting the 'vagina aches' you get when your almost finished af. Does that make sense to anyone or do I need to explain better?

Plus I have this metallic/blood taste in my mouth, but I think that's because I have something on the roof of my mouth :confused:

I got it for the first time ever in the TWW without knowing I was in the TWW. Two weeks after I got my results from my Dr saying I had thrush, I realised my period was 8 days late and I POAS and got a BFP.

I just got a BFP, and had thrush a few days after ovulation. It was the first time i've ever had it. I was about 3DPO when i got it. So who knows!!!

I wonder if it has anything to do with the rising temps in early pregnancy?

you often get trush in pregnancy, it has to do with all the chemical changes happing

Is this true of a UTI too? ... I got an awful one in the middle of the night on Sunday and all I could think of was reading this thread which gave me hope through the pain!! :laughing:

i have thrush and took a pregnancy test a coulpe of days after getting it and theres a very faint line there. but its there :)

Hi guys,

I wish thrush was connected with BFP, but for me there has not been a connection. Since being on ivf/icsi I have had thrush a few time and still nothing.
