Ovulation Tests

Can anyone recommend a good OPK and where to get it? I've looked at the info about Maybe Baby and it looks tricky (to work out when ferning etc.). My cycle has been identical for months and months but now I'm TTC my cycle has gone out of whack. Need to use OPK as I have no idea what's going on! thks:)

maybe babies or similar are better long term as you pay once and you can keep reusing them. I got my donna saliva monitor from fertility naturopath.com for around $50 i think.
these show when ovulation is approaching and when you ovulate, the OPKs show when you have the LH surge which means ovulation is coming, but sometimes you can miss this surge when you are using OPKS as the surge doesnt last long.

so the OPKs just measure the surge before you ovulate - they won't tell you that you are actually ovulating - is that right?

Yup, but saliva monitors will have full ferning on ovulation day :D

Hi Bubbanoah - I have tried both but temping and cm seems to work best for me. Doula is right - it's easy to miss your LH surge with the urine tests. I have heard Maybe Baby does work really well for some- but because I have naturally high estrogen levels I get ferning every single day with mine - so it's no help at all. But I think the Maybe Baby is worth giving a go. There are cheaper versions available that do the same thing. Good luck :)
