I am in a similar situation. My kids are similar age to yours and in the last week it feels like all I am doing is moving one child into bed as the other is coming out. DD2 has a morning nap, then DD1 has a lunchtime nap, then DD2 is back down for her arvo nap.
I am wondering when am I going to be able to leave the house again??

DD1 has also been staying awake later at night, so I am not sure if we need to drop her lunchtime nap. (I am not too keen on this idea as it's when I get to catch up on housework or have a cup of tea in peace).

I am waiting for daylight savings to finish and will see how the girls respond to the change before I adjust their sleeps.

Sorry, no advice. I always remind myself that sleep is really important to kids inorder for them to grow and for their brains to process information, so sleep is a priority in our house. They're only baby's for such a short time..........

Are you sure she isn't overtired? Just a thought cos my DD2 (11.5 months) wakes at 7am and is ready for her first nap around 9am. I know every bub is different.

DD1 sleeps 6:30pm-7am (sleeps thru) and has 2 day naps. First nap is 9am-10:30am and the second one is 1pm-2:30/3pm.

Hope your day gets better. Having cranky tired kids is no fun.

Hi,

I wake up my DD (12mths) from her morning nap if she doesn't wake herself up after 40mins. Then both DS and DD are ready to have a longer afternoon nap at the same time.

If I let DD sleep as long as wants in the morning she will sleep for up to 3hrs, then is awake and cranky all afternoon. I have found this is the best solution for us at the moment, because both kids sleep together for up to 2hrs in the afternoon.
