Just wandering for those who have had children have surgery how long did they have to fast for.

My DS2 is 2 and he is booked for a hyperspadious op tomorrow. they rang me a few days ago and said no solids after 7 and no water or cordial after 11 in the morn which is when he is scheduled to arrive at hospital so it will be an early arvo op. Its to late to ring but i want to be sure they didn mean from 7pm the night before.

Cheers any expirience would be great. lol Im freaking out and my mind is running trick on me lol.

:hugs: Hope everything goes well with the OP tomorrow.
My DS is 19 months and going in for tonsils/adnoids in a couple of weeks. His pre admission sheet said nothing for 6 hours before admission.
Don't quote me but if 7am is your cut off and he is having an early arvo OP that is around 6 hours?
Good luck with the fasting it is hard when they are so young:goodvibes:

ETA when I had surgery last year, I was to be admitted at lunchtime. The nurse said a light breaky was OK before 7.00, then nothing.
