Pill question .. How long will it take?

This is probably a stupid question but me and my dp are thinking about having #2 sometime in the next year .. and im on the pill and have been for 8 months since my first was born, i had never been on the pill before she was born, and wondering if i stop the pill how long will it take for me to fall pregnant and what will happen? will i get a period and then it all starts or what? when would be the best time to ttc #2 after stopping the pill ??

Well from my own experience, I had been on the pill for a good 21 months, and 3 days after stopping the pill I had a 'period' and then I haven't had one since! I found out I was pregnant the very next month I stopped taking the pill... So be warned, for some it may not take very long at all. I was shocked, that's for sure! :eek:

For each person it is different. A few girls I know fell pregnant straight after taking the pill, others it's taken awhile.

In my experience after coming off the pill, my cycle went a bit haywire for a while (about 2 mths) but now seems to have worked itself out.

i was on that 3 month injection for around 9 months... they usually say it takes 6 months to get outta your system... but i fell pregnant after a month of being of it!
I think people are very different.

As they say, everyone is different!

I have been off the pill for about 6 months and my cycle only changed a little bit (to 30days). It has still always been consistent, never really long or short like some other women experience.

We waited until the new year to TTC as i wanted to give my body a break from the pill as I had been on it for 10 years. So 2nd month TTC and nothing as yet but hopefully soon!
