3D scan update!

hi all,

we finally had our 3D scan yesterday in brissy. it was the most amazing thing.
thankfully bub was behaving beautifully and was in the perfect position to check the heart and all the bits, see the face and the sex! we are having a girl! i'm so excited and dad to be is so proud of himself! she is beautiful, and above average size wise, which is to be expected as both hubby and i are tall.
it was so much more than i could have hoped for, we got some great pictures and a video that is 3D and 4D in parts( which is the 3D image moving)
it was totally worth the money to see her again and know that everything is working as it should.
it cost us $210 and we got $117 back from medicare.

How exciting! The 3D image would have been amazing. We only had the option of the 2D ultrasound. We found out the sex of both of ours, Annelise was first now 4, and Owen was born last year at Royal Brisbane. What a beautiful time for you. Hope you have been well throughout your pregnancy. Congratulation mel and hubby, thats fantastic news!!! A beautiful baby girl!!!
Now you can add some pink clothes to you daughters growing wardrobe. Great to hear all its well. Sounds like money well spent on the 3d scan :)

thank you! yes, it's nice to know i can finally buy pink things, my mum is going nuts. this is her first grandchild so i guess she's allowed to go crazy and i'm certainly not complaining!
there are alot of very cute tulle/fairy dresses around, and i must say i'm looking forward to buying her first pair of ballet shoes (i'm a ballet teacher so she probably won't want to do ballet!)
but you never know, whatever she wants! :D

Im realy keen to get one done - and my dad stays at Tewantin - do they bulk bill the whole thing? Cause here on my side of town its about $210
