Miranda Evelyn

Miranda is a name both myself & dh like & it fits all of our "criteria". Evelyn is a family name.

So.. what do you think? honest opinions please!

Nice name, not at all weird and I think it is nice to include a family connection somewhere in the name even though I copped Dorothy as a middle name.

I'm a bit biased, but I think the name rocks!!! My name is Miranda Lyn... :D I have always loved the fact that it is quite a bit different and you don't hear it much - although it does seem to becoming a bit more popular of late... Amazingly, one of my best friends is a Miranda too - and we are the first ones either of us has actually met! It is a bit of a tricky name to shorten - but my friends all call me Pet, so it doesn't matter! My friend Miranda gets called Randa by her husband, and my husband hortens it to "Miz" when he writes it...

I think Miranda is a very pretty name ... and also a strong one. I don't know why but it also sounds intelligent? Not sure I actually know any Miranda's to compare so no idea where that came from! Regardless, I hope she's a happy and healthy Miranda. :)

'Miranda Evelyn' sounds lovely, it looks nice written as well, Miranda was one of the names I liked when I was pregnant with Tilly, I think it is a very elegant name, it has a bit of a mysterious air to it as well... :)

I think Miranda is a fantastic name - I have always loved it ! It reminds me of "Picnic at Hanging Rock" ... I therefore suggest not ever sending her to a school that go for picnics in the country !

Great choice ... and I agree, it is beautiful as a little girl's name, as well as a "grown up".
