hi there
like i said what would you recommend using for a large 2 yr old?
DD is 2&1/2 and weighs about 17kg, and I'm thoroughly sick of buying nappies all the time for her(have MCN with the little fellow) and though Ive got some great training pants for the day I'm wanting something to use at night
any ideas on what size/brand type etc ???

Hi, I can totally sympathise with you on this one. My ds2 is also 2 & 1/2 and weighs around 19 kilos. I've been buying the homebrand safeway nappies size 18kg+, though these are a bit tight fitting. He uses these day and night, with no leaks. This is the biggest size I've been able to find, I'm hoping he'll be ready to tt very soon, but not looking like it yet. I'm just glad that his weight has stabilised in the last few months so hopefully this size will do until he no longer needs nappies. I've never used mcn so cant help you there sorry.

My 4 year old, who would be about 20kgs, has just finished using nappies at night. The best ones we found were the BBH's or the BG pockets. They fit better quite well and he could have got a few more months out of them.

Just be aware that they do get chubby and then thin out after a while too so they may be tight at one point and then better fit when they grow a bit taller. Good luck.

Apparently Greenkids will make a bigger pocketnappy for you if you ask them to. I have a feeling my little pudding is going to have the issue of being to big for large size MCN. She is on the largest fit of her medium nappies at 14 weeks old :dizzy:

The large Magic-Alls fit my 3y/o fine.

He doesn't wear them any more, but he is a little bit big for a 3y/o so if they are an ok size on him they should be ok for your little one. :)

This is a subject close to my heart as my 20 month old is 18kg.

For sposies we use the Aldi brand.

For MCNs, my favourites are pookey pockets XL but I think it's custom orders only for that size. Wild Childs also do a toddler range and Baby Hosen large are also a great fit. I've also recently tried fuzzybunz but I put extra bamboo around the microfibre insert to avoid compression leaks.
