I am currently 10 weeks 3 days pregnant and my m/s is becoming progressively more unbearable. I was prescribed Maxolon but I'm reluctant to take it as I have a tendency to experience allergic reactions to a lot of medications.
I've heard that vitamin B6 can be helpful. I was wondering if people could tell me how much B6 they took? I just don't want to take too much. Thanks.

There is B6 in those morning sickness pills (the ones with ginger) and you take 1 tablet 3 times a day. If I could find my stupid bottle of it I could tell you exactly how much to take. Actually I'll be back after I look for it.

Okay, I couldn't find my pills (I moved in here in November and still haven't unpacked everything) but I did look up another pregnancy site and they say taking 25mg twice daily can help but check with your Dr before you take anymore than that because it can cause nerve damage.
I hope it works out for you. M/S is not fun.
Heya - I just started on a bottle of Blackmores Morning Sickness Formula last night and on the bottle it says take one 8 hourly for max benefit. I went to bed before the 8 hours was up from the previous one and woke up queasy as hell, took one and it eased so I think they will help....will let you know more after a few days!
They have 25mg of B6 and 400mg of ginger root powder.
Good luck babe!

Yes - definitely try the Blackmores Morning Sickness tablets. My sister gave some to me when I was 8 weeks along and I have been calling them Miracle Pills! Maxolon leaves you feeling dopey - these are great!
I have been taking them every six hours - 8am, 2pm & 8pm - eventhough the bottle recommends every 8 hours. :goodvibes: :goodvibes:
I started taking the blackmores B6 and ginger tablets for morning sickness, but at around the point you're at now I could not even keep a tablet down.
Good luck

I had very bad morning sickness and tried the Blackmores Morning Sickness Formula...although it made me worse! So I don't recommend it at all!!
My doctor then said to try the Vitamin B6 tablets, one every 5-6 hours, and they were pretty much useless too I'm afraid..in the end I just sat it out and it got better on its own..
:hugs:
Oh wow Emz - what a shame - they do seem to be working for me - I can definitely tell when one tab is about to wear off and like RoseKathleen I have found myself taking them more often than the prescribed 8 hourly...

Hey Elle,
I started taking the Blackmores Morning Sickness Tablets on Sunday and yesterday was my first day of relief, I think they are fabulous! Make sure you take them every 8 hrs though as I let mine wear off yesterday and paid the consequences last night :(
