WARNING slightly peeved of sleepless muummy that is over tired and grumpy is about to go off

Ok so its ten to three in the morning, I went to bed at 12 as that is when DD ahs her last dose of meds for the night I filled her feed and gave her her meds all was sorted, I hope into bed and am cudles spewed on and spat on all my DD Not DH lol we not into that kind of thing lol all good setle go to sleep not sure what time i went to sleep but thats ok normal night for me is around 4 to 5 hours in broken sleep pattern

WEL as i said its ten to three mmmm I wake up COVERED in mikenzees feed matress soaked im soaked, great so i get up to investigate the situation mean while DH is fast alseep on his dry side of the bed S i turn the light on to asses the damage well my side is drenched rining well with elecare and also the bile fluid that has backed out of the feed line, DH still asleep as i vent and winge then I see what is really strange DD is also still asleep tats odd she shoud be screaming by now she MMMMMMM then tired silly mum realises oh dam her sugars are likely low due to feeds being off, So i get the glucose metre and prick her and yerp BGL is at 2.2 no wonder she is non responsisive, so sort all that out then figure how am i ment to sleep in a bed that is drenched but only on my side so DH wont wake up nor get up for me to change the bed

So not im up as my bed is wet through pluss the fact i need to say awake to recheck DDs sugars to make sure they are rising again now her feed is pluged in if not we have to go to the hospital, And im figuring out a way sleep on a wet bed, Me thinks i will just sleep on a towel

ARHHHHHHH the joys of co sleeping hey yer there aint no joy sleeping with a leaky tube feeder let me tel you

On brighter note hey at least i woke up and was able to fix it while her sugars was still over 2 but right now thats only a slight saving grace, because as ai said im tired and cranky and need some sleep

ok vent over have to go prick DD again to check her sugars it better have gone up cause the last think i need right now is a trip to the hospital but knowing my luck grrrrr, if her sugars are back up i have a wet bed to look forward to with an iratable toddler

:hugs: you poor girl. I hope you've had some sleep.

I remember I hated co-sleeping with DS for many reasons but one of the main ones was if he had a poo or wee leak I had to get EVERYONE out of bed to change the sheets on a queen sized bed.

Not as practical as just moving the little person and taking the sheets off a cot :p

Just a little tip that may or may not be helpful.
Make the bed with a bottom sheet and top sheet then cover with a plastic matress protector then make the bed again with a second lot of sheets. Then if it happens again, pick up DD or ask DH to, rip back the dirty sheet and protector and your good to go again.

I suggest a spare mattress under the bed for times like this :)

You poor thing, that's terrible, i love co-sleeping but yes that definately takes the cake, i get grumpy when his nappy leaks and that's usually not till he's about to wake up anyways, you poor thing, and i'd be kicking DH next time to make him wake up and help! :hugs:
