I borrowed a friend's quicksmart stroller for a holiday. I hated it!
It was very light and compact, but it was too low for me (5'8") and my husband (6'4"). It was dreadful, and I mean really hard to steer. It was hard with 2 hands, but impossible with 1.
Putting it up and down took a lot of practise. It was not easy at the start, and got thrown in the car without collapsing it on a few occasions .
Personally I couldn't and wouldn't put up with this pram even as an occasional.
I don't know about the other pram, but that's my 10c worth on the quicksmart.
Hi Mamachops,
I think from the research I have done - you are confused with the old type which was not a 2 step fold up action.
The issues you describe from whaat I understand haave been resolved to the point that the one I saw was quite the opposite.. if you go to that link - there is a video which shows how it works now - could you check that and verify that it is different to the one you used?
The other model (which I suspect you used)was called a backpack stroller.
This is called the briefcase stroller.
I had a look at one on the week end - I aam 5 foot 10 and it seemed easy to use at my height - so I am pretty ssure we are talking about two different strollers....
Looking forward to hearing back from you.

I have the 4-wheeler quicksmart stroller (briefcase design I think it's called?) and love it. I find it so easy to use, can easily steer with one had. Unfolding and folding up is a sinch! There is a way that you can unfold it all in one smooth action, and to fold up it's just a 3 step process. It folds up so tiny, fits perfectly in my hatch back. It's so small when folded I often find when DH and I go to a cafe and would rather put DS in a highchair, we fold up the stroller and tuck it under the table so it is completely out of the way. In regards to the height of the handle, I actually find it a little higher but I am 5'2" and have that with any pram I steer LOL! My DH is 5'11" and he has no issues when steering it. The stroller also comes with a rain cover which I have used countless times and still looks good as new. It also comes with a bag which I have used for several interstate flights and still in good nick! All-in-all I am very happy with my purchase. Put it this way, in comparison to the $1k I spent on another pram which I find so large and cumbersome and hate, I use my quicksmart all the time and wish I had not bought the other pram!
ETA - A friend of mine had the 3-wheeler version which I too borrowed, and yep, that sucked big time! So I do believe that mamachops is probably talking about that one rather than the 4-wheeler.
Wow - Great feedback - thank you sso much...
I can't decide!
I think I will buy one of each - I might get the Candy for park walks etc and use the quicksmart briefcase for when I am driving somehwhere like the shoppping centres etc...
Can anyone verify if those two deals on the Rockstar Candy and the Quicksmart are good deals @ $159 and $129?
I can't find a better price yet...

I bought my quicksmart about a year ago now... no, make that about 9 months ago... got it from Toys R Us for $129 (or there abouts). It was in one of their catalogues. I think Toys R Us feature them in their catalogues every now and then, but would have no idea when it will next be available. I think Toys R Us have their current catalogues online, which might be worth looking at just in case.
Good luck with your new purchase and happy shopping!!! :flowerz:

The closest price I can get is $189 so I think I will gie that bubsngrubs mob a go...
They have the Rockstar candy (which is also the cheapest I can find) that I want as well so it will make it easier to order it all at once..
I'll let you know how I go!
Well, good news!
I got both my Rock Star Baby Candy and the quicksmart... and they turned up 48 hours later!
I am EXTRMELY happy with both of them...
Couldn't be happier !
Just an update - thought I would let you all know - I still love my Quicksmart Stroller and also the Rockstar Baby Candy!
No problems and both are getting used a lot!
I love, love, love my quicksmart briefcase stroller! :yelclap: Glad both strollers are working out for you!
I wasn't going to get my quicksmart because a friend had the 3 wheel one and it was flimsy, complicated and awkward to use. But the 4 wheel one is amazing! It's going with us to Perth later this year!
Yep - Very Happy...
My hubby is a gadget man... he is going to get the Quinny Zapp for himm to use...
good value... not as cheap as the Quicksmaart though...
