View Full Version : Home pregnancy test
hi, this is the first month my husband and i have ttc for baby #1. i have just come off the pill for the first time after being on it for a few years. i know everyone is different but how long did it take most of you already with a bub to fall pregnant after coming off the pill? if you have tried an early pregnancy test (7-10 days after conceiving) did you find it very reliable?

Hi raybaby,
I am new to this site also, but I thought I'd share my experiences with you.
I stopped taking the pill after about 6 years on it and my period went back to normal (30 day) cycles straight away. We fell pregnant the first month that we tried, just by counting the days and estimating when i would be most fertile and doing the deed every couple of days throughout that week. Unfortunately we had an early loss :( - but we have tried again this month and I am on the 2 week wait to see if it worked. :fingerscrossed:
Good luck with ttc :)

With DD I fell on the third month of trying after coming off the pill. The early tests are reliable, the ones I used were 5 days before a missed period.
Wish you lots of luck with your BFP.

hi raybaby!
I got my BFP on my one yr anniversary off the pill. In saying that tho, i had had some issues with my cycles and i got my BFP on the first possible attempt iykwim.
i used a first response and got a nice quick dark line ast 10dpo, but alot of people won't test positive until after their period is due even with the early tests

I got pregnant straight away after coming off the pill.
I did a pregnancy test, would of been about the time of conception, because i went to the doctors sick and she got me to do one and it was negative. I ended up missing my period and did another test a few days after and was positive.
