View Full Version : Can anyone recommend a treadmill?
Hi,
I have 7 week old twins and I am keen to get back into shape. I have actually put weight on since I was discharged from Hospital (go figure). My husband and I are looking into treadmill as it is something we could both use and I can still keep an eye on babies while I exercise.
Does anyone have a treadmill or had an experience with one that they can recommend or advise me to stay away from.
Thanks in advance.

I also put on weight after coming home from hospital, sitting on the couch breastfeeding twins all the time and being to tired to get up and go anywhere i think!
I rent a treadmill from radio rentals. I think its about $68 a month. its good because you are not committed to purchasing one that may eventually end up a dust gatherer. I rented mine for 6 months but if you rent for longer its a bit cheaper!

Hi, I've had 2 treadmills. The first I paid just over $800 for from a sports store, it was an Elite brand it was good and I lost 12 kilos using it for 30 minutes a day over 4 months. Last year I decided to upgrade to a new treadmill and bought one from Kmart for $399. I think it's Sportz brand or something similar to that and it is 100 times better than my first one. I wanted something with a lower incline and cup holders which was why I upgraded and I'm really really happy with it. Being only $399 from Kmart, it's cheaper to buy than to rent if your going to be using it for more than a few months and they often bring their exercise equipment out on special. Mine is electric and does everything for you, counts distance, calories, time etc and has a safety switch built in. It's definately the best $399 that I've ever spent :)
To the OP. I just purchased a treadmill. It was $1300. Worth every cent. It goes up to 12 km/h and 12% gradient. If you want to know where, PM me and I will send you the website where I bought it from.
Yesterday my roommate bought a lifespan fitness BOOMER treadmill with 4 peak HP and 230 CM X 40 CM belt. Actually It's pretty cool, and I had a try, it feels fantastic. I don't know the exactly feature of this lovely thing, and I'm thinking I get one for Christmas gift for my parents. I need hurry to make decision.
Anyway hope that could help you.
