Hi All,

My DS is nearly 5 months old, he has always taken a bottle of EBM every now and then when ever i havent been able to feed him. He has started going to family daycare yesterday and had to come home early because he was refusing the bottle from the daycare mum, my partner tried to give him another bottle last night and he really fights it and arches his back and spits the teat out.

Im not sure what to do, the daycare mum suggested giving him formula in a bottle so he associates a different taste with a bottle like he associates BM with me.

At the time i tried 3 different bottles/teats so im not sure why he is doing this, it has been about 3 wks since his last bottle......

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for reading

That must be so stressful for you! My DS never liked a bottle, nothing we did would make him take it.

A good friend of mine had the same thing happen with her son though about that age. He had always taken a bottle from very early on. She just kept perservering with it. She gave it the same time every day (DH would give it around 6 when she prepared dinner and looked after DD) and eventually they got over the fussy period. She never was sure why he did it but thought maybe just the age - they know what they want now. She found he took it better when she fed him.

GL hope you work it out :hugs:
