Brown discharge -early pregnancy

I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and over the last few days have had a really light brown "discharge" or more like a discolouration of cervical mucous, no cramping and hasn't decreased or increased. Had the same thing for a couple of days at 7 weeks and then nothing until the last couple of days. Any ideas?

I would ask for an ultrasound just to check if everything is ok and to put your mind at ease to. Don't be alarmed though unless the blood loss increases and/or becomes bright red. Some women bleed alot during pregnancy and go on to have full-term healthy babies. Hope everything is ok :)

it could well be just whats left from implantation finally comming out

I probably wouldn't worry about it, especially if its just like discoloured mucus

if you are concerned though, go and see your GP or OB, they will probably send you for a scan to make sure all is well

Thanks ladies, have a doctors appt this afternoon so fingers crossed is all ok. Am rhesus neg so will probably have to get my anti D injection as well, sigh...

I have a negative blood type as well so you will need a needle. Pregnancy certainly gets you used to all those needles!

I had the smae thing at about the same time, 9 weeks, when I was pg with DS2. Never had it in my first pg so I was really worried. I went in for a scan at 12 weeks and saw my beautiful baby boy quite fat and healthy. About 1 week later the spotting stopped. Still have no idea what it was. But I had a perfectly healthy pg and birth.
