View Full Version : Anyone heard of falling preg natrually with 1 fallopian tube and scarring?
Hi ladies!
It's taken me ages to work out how to get into this, lol slow learner let alone post something.
I'd really like to hear some positive stories of anyone who fell preg after an ectopic.
I'm in Perth and have been researching for; when Ive robbed that bank and am ready to try a fertility clinic. Anyone have any thoughts on Fertility north? Ive seen a few posts recommending them, but would still like to hear more (greedy:D)
Well that's enough jibber jabber from me, better get on with the day i guess
Thanx in advance!

I did fall preg natrually quite unexpectedly:yes: but alas it was ectopic again in the other tube. So I guess I answered my own question.
I guess it still doesn't rule out hope for anyone else in the same boat, but I just wanted to share what happened to me.....I searched high and low for answers:detective:.

I was told after 2 laps that both tubes were pretty much blocked (1 blocked, the other partially blocked). I had a load of adhesions etc that were removed. I went on the pill for a year as I was getting a load of ovulation pain due to all the scarring.
My doctor told me that he has seen quite a few women with blocked/scarred tubes and then a couple of years later they get pregnant... he said that the blockage can be due to spasming due to trauma. He hoped that going on the pill would give the area a break from ovulation and a chance to heal (and stop the pain). He said if not, no big deal, we will just do ivf.
Anyway I skipped a few pills abotu a year later when I had knee surgery and lo and behold, was pregnant the next month - DS is the result. I am now pregnant *again*.
I was told I'd have a very high chance of ectopic pregnancy if I did conceive so I've had early scans both times but luckily everything has been fine.
I had been told that once the tubes were blocked they are blocked... honestly, I never thought I would conceive naturally, I saw the pics taken in the laps and my tubes looked like they'd been through a meat grinder. I guess my doc (very experienced) was right and the body can heal sometimes.
I hope it all works out for you.
eta: I have a cousin whose 3rd pg was ectopic - she went on to have another 4 children after that (6 in total).
I had a friend who had fertility problems and was on pills (sorry not sure what) to help her ovulate. After her DS was born she got a eptopic and lost a tube. Two months later she was pregnant again and everything was fine. She had her second DS by Csection so she could have the remaining tube tied because she didn't want to risk it (two was enough for her!) Anyway, hope that gives you some hope

Hi there I am living proof it is definately possible! Over a period of 6 years, I had an ectopi, misscariage and the two laposcopys (sorry spelling bad) resulting in finding both tubes terribly stuck down and blocked. In the last seven months leading up to saving for ivf i was having accupuncture weekly and then boom!! We fell pregnant !! All the best sweetie xxxxx:hugs:I know your pain and frustration xxx

 lymbo, firstly :hugs:for both of your ectopics.
I just wanted to let you know that Yes it is possible though.
My first pregnancy was an ectopic and they removed my right fallopian tube, and also burst a cyst that was on the opening to my left tube. We were told to leave trying for 1 cycle so that everything could sort itself out, which we did. Then 2 cycles later I found out I was pregnant completely naturally again.
I know it is so hard, and all I could do for the first 6 weeks was cry and stress that it would be ecptoic again but I am now sitting here at 38 weeks pregnant.
I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I just wanted to let you know that there is hope, and I wish you all the very best for a successful BFP :babydust2::babydust2:
