When I was younger, mum and I used to press flowers in a phone book, then add another phone book ontop and leave for a few days. Flattened them out great, but I dont know if thats just the play type of way (I was only little) or the proper way..

If the flowers are wet or moist hang them upside down for a couple of hours or as long as you can before they go brown or die, depending on the flower try for atleast a day. Also try spraying them with hairapray this helps retain colour. Then you put them in glad wrap, squash it as best you can the way you want it to remain, this dehydrates the flowers more, then put it between phone books for as long as you can. This is how I used to do it!!! have fun :smiliedance:

We hung my bouqet when I got married. Its still hanging at my mums house and its preserved beautiful. You can tell all the different pinks in the roses.
This just reminded me that I pressed flowers from my first mother's day and had forgotten about them. I just put the flower petals on some paper towel in the phone book and it worked a treat!
