New to Gladstone

Hi ya,

I just moved to Gladstone two weeks ago and am looking to find some info on local activities/playgroups or other mums who might also be new to the area/or any that might just want to catch up for a coffee from time to time.

I have a 19month old and a 5 month old.

I have lived in a lot of places both in Australia and overseas, but I so far really like it here. It's beautiful and the people seem to be really friendly. However, I would like to enhance this experience with any help/advice you could offer. It would be much appreciated.

:wave: I"m not longer in Gladstone but lived up there for a year 2 years ago. Lovely area. If you go to the playgroup Australia website it will give you a listing of the playgroups in the area, what days they are run, if there is any spots available and the cost.

im in tannum but dont go to any playgroups so cant help u out there..

have u popped into the gladstone mummies thread? there always seems to be lots going on there and i think they have meet ups

Thanks girls. I will introduce myself to the Gladstone mummies then. I guess I was a little apprehensive seeing as they have probably been meeting up for a long time now and might not have been looking for any more newbies!

I go to Squeels on Wheels Playgroup which is run out of the Baptist Church in Gladstone, it isn't listed with Playgroup Australia i don't think but we are very popular ( just started up a 3rd group due to waiting list), i think playgroups are on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday's now (i go to the Fridays one).

Dont go to any play groups as such as cant seemed to find any i really like LOL! But did start a group of off another forum although it has kinda dwindled down to just 2 of us again! LOL people moving abroad and being busy ECT....

But if you'd like to catch up feel free to PM me my son is 3 this month and i ahve another on the way.
