I may be able to help, what are your concerns?
Acupuncture has been practiced for no less than 3000 years successfully where as Western medicine has been practiced for 300 years. I maybe biased but I would put my money on the the one with the extra "0" ;)

But back to your question.
Acupuncture will help by balancing out the internal organs that create the environment your baby is to live in. It does this by stimulating the subtle energies that circulate your body which have you breathe, eat, sleep and write your questions. everything you do is a result of energy flow in the body.

When you become sick or have a headache this is a blockage in the body preventing the usual smooth flow. Acupuncture will disperse the blockage and to have the energy flow again and bring peace back into your day!

There is a lot more I could say but I have run out of time. go to my blog at backonyourfeet and you will get the info you are searching for.

I hope this helps.

Hi Louise:wave:

I have been researching into acupuncture for myself. Have found alot of positive information about it. Did read that you need to see a practitioner who specialises in fertility. I contacted the AACMA who gave me the contact details of a practitioner who specialises in fertility in my area. I haven't contacted her yet.......................in case February is our month, otherwise I think I might try it next month. My chiropractor recommended Acupuncture to me so that's why I've been looking into it.

Good Luck :babydust2:

I had great success with accupunture, after taking ages to conceive our first baby. After just 2 months of accupuncture, combined with chinese medicine (or 'dirt' tea as I liked to call it), we got our BFP. As Iris said, its best if you can get someone who specialises in fertility or women's issues.

I also had success with accupuncture - I was told by a GYN that I had only a remote chance of conceiving as I had a blocked fallopian tube, scarring and adhesions on my ovaries and throughout my pelvic area, etc. I went straight to an accupuncturist and three months later I was pg with my now 22 month old DD! I was also taking herbs, most practitioners will give you herbs in conjunction with the actual accupuncture.

I enjoyed each session, it's incredibly relaxing, the needles don't actually hurt. If you go to a practitioner with experience in fertility issues he/she can also help by looking at your charts and identifying possible issues and problems too and suggesting lifestyle changes and nutrition ideas as well.

All the best!

i have been having acupuncture and TCM (and herbs that were actually possible to eat without a gag reflex!) since oct... I also started metformin at the same time, but my cycles sorted themselves out quick smart and the i think both contributed to my outcomes p.s. I am now pregnant on the first cycle we DTD at the right time ;)

I have been doing acupuncture for a few months after ttc for 12 months. I have not got the bfp yet, but would still highly reccomend doing it.

I have a very short luteal phase (meant to be about 14 days between ov and af, mine is 6) and since doing acupuncture is has brought my ovulation 3 days earlier in my cycle, which is great.

I went to a fertitlity specialist this month and they told me to continue with acu, as they have seen alot of patients have success with it. They said they don't know how it works, just that it does!

I find it very relaxing and it doesn't hurt at all. I go to someone who specialises in fertility so I'd reccomend doing that.

Good luck with it. :)

When the body has dis-ease, its due to an imbalance, no matter the condition.

Try this exercise - find where your perineum is and concentrate on this area. Now what your objective is, is to contract your anus upwards as if sucking air up it. while doing this you will need to close off the vagina opening, this can be done with your heel while sitting cross legged or place a firm object there. You then contract, hold for 10 seconds and then relax. It will not be easy in the beginning so maybe contract - relax, contract - relax and do this at least 10 times. work up to holding for 10 and do 48 contract and releases in total.

Whats important here is this exercise will not have you get pregnant but it will help stimulate your glands and balance the imbalance. after which stop the exercise and then pregnancy may occur.

Acupuncture can also do this but you can do something for yourself and get healthy until you have treatment.

I would definately give accupuncture a go. I've had it for years to simply 'balance' my energies. You really do feel so relaxed after the initial pin pricks!.I actually fall asleep....At the moment I'm seeing a really great accupuncturist in Melbourne - Danielle Baker - she specialises in fertility and am amazed that simply by acupuncture she had brought my cycle from its regular 25 days to 28 days as the goal required. I was amazed!!!...she's really lovely to talk to about any concerns so will be continueing with her on the journey. Goodluck & best wishes:wave:

Hi,

I started accupuncture before TTC and have used it for the last few months as well. The first cycle i didn't have a great after O rise, progesterone but after the next cycle i did. My practicioner looks at all of my ff charts when i take them in.

Since then my cycle looks great, right on 29 days and a strong ovulation everymonth.

I find it really relaxing and positive to have something to 'help me along'.

No :bfp: yet but in the tww of cycle 4 :fingerscrossed:
