Things seem to be looking up - the rivers are all on their way down now, and evacuated people are starting to return to their homes for a big clean up.....

I was very lucky, the town I live didn't flood too badly, and we live ontop of a hill so our house was nice and safe. DD1's kindy rang on Friday for us to go and pick her up early because the water was coming up, and I'm just glad I could send DH in his 4wd work car, because I was terrified of driving through water and the rain was unbelievable!

How is everybody else going??

I was just talking about this with my DH... I know the devastation has been horrific in Victoria and I have made my donations and said my prayers for those involved... but we have heard little about the struggle of the people in Nth Qld. I would love to know if any help is being made available to them, surely there is devastation of crops & livestock and people's lives have been disrupted.

Does anyone know of anything organised for them?
