Fertile days before ovulation

Hi all :wave:

This month we only BD once without contraception, and by my reckoning that was 6 days before ovulation. AF is due today and hasn't shown up yet, so I'm busy checking out if it's possible to conceive this long before ovulation...

What's the longest time you've heard of?

sperm can stick around for around 7 - 10 days.

so, yep it is possible.

Everything I have read says 4-5 is the maximum and that is if you have what is called 'optimum' cervical mucus as this is what supports the sperm. The other thing to remember is you can ovulate within a 12-48 hour period so perhaps it was a bit earlier and you were within the time frame. I really do hope you fall in the time frame and get your BFP :)
