I have no idea what the meaning of DD's names are! She was named after my gran (Amelia) and my beautiful aunt who passed away suddenly when I was about 5 months pregnant (Kate).

Alannah apparently means : The bright fair one, the beautiful child. Derived from a word that is used as a term of endearment by the Irish.

We chose the name before we knew the meaning.

Aquila means strong as an eagle, or Arrow, in Hebrew or Latin. As appropriate as this was for him (bruised ribs for me!) we didn't know until afterwards that it even had a meaning :)

Xanthe means fair or golden haired in Greek, and again it didn't make us choose the name, we heard the name first, but it has actually worked out just as appropriate, against the odds she has blonde hair, started as a baby and has continued for 5 years so far!

Taylah is derived from Natalie which means born at christmas time. Taylahs due date was 18th Dec... The meaning is a nice touch on a name we both just loved :kiss:
