6 months?!?! who said that!!!
we waited around 3-4 months with DD which was toooo long!!
DS is such a noisy sleeper that I can't see him being in our room for much longer - I think we'll mvoe him to the lounge next door first tho as his bedroom is the other end of the house's next to DD's (and we dont want to wake her up - one kid awake at night is enough thank you!)

I'm with Cordelia on this ..
DS was in our room for 6 months but DD is such a noisy sleeper that I think she may have to move earlier.
We will go with the flow - we are moving so it will also depend on the new house (how far her room is from the main bed etc)
BUT I do LOVE having her in my bed  which is what happens after the 4am feed
Hi ladies,
We have put William in his bassinette in the foyer entrance of our house, which is directly near our bedroom (away from the a/c vents). We just have to get up and turn the passage light on to check on him. We were going to have him in our bedroom but DH snores so loudly that it jolts him awake!
So in the morning I wheel him in to the lounge room for the day. It seems to be working for us and I feel like I'm close enough to check on him throughout the night.
I was wondering when to move him into the nursery? Perhaps when he is big enough for his cot? Say 3 months?

I gave my babies their own rooms at 12 months.
I found they settled better and didnt scream so much when they woke during the night because they could see me......
Best of luck:)

Liam was in our room for only 2 nights, but he makes so much noise when he is asleep, so now he is in our room durring the day and at night we put his bassinet in to the hallway outside our room. I hope to move him in to share with his sister as soon as he is only feeding once over night.
I think the it is up to you and what works for your family. My first went in to her own room when she came home and i always knew when she was awake even if she did not make much noise.

I only have them in our room until they're reliably sleeping through the night (or, in the case of #2, we moved him into his own room at 4 months old when we moved house). We also have a baby monitor, so can hear if we need to attend to them. Both bubs & I seem to sleep better when they move out.

We moved Eve into her room on night number 3! We found she kept us awake with all her little cute noises she makes. We also have a great baby monitor we use to keep an ear out for her.
Do what suits and works for you Tracy.

I feel guilty having DS in his own room even now. We moved him when he was 17 months old and we knew the next baby wasn't far away. He had his own single bed in our room and everything. I will probably keep Quinn in with us for at least 16 months.

we moved DS into his own room when he was to big for his bassinet- so round 3-4months
i personally cant sleep with them in the room and only did it as
A- easy to get for feeds
B- being the first it was all new and i wanted him with me
C- i loved watching him sleep
D- i felt safer having him there not down the back of the house
he actually feel asleep in his big cot by accident i wasn't ready but i guess he was and his fine.
and i know they are ting babies and dont know whats going on but theres no sex while baby in room- i just dont like that thought ewhhh i'm a personnal person- so another reason he movd out lol
Theo went straight into his own room from hospital but space is at a premium in our house now & he is still in a cot & needs his own space so Daisy Doo is in a bassinette in our room. When she is getting to big for that we will shift the older girls in together, give Theo the vacated bedroom & a big bed & then put Daisy in his old room & cot.. We just thought it better to leave him & have him settle into life with a new baby sister before kicking him out

DS was 4 weeks yesterday and I think he will be in our room for another couple of months. I am hoping he can move into his cot at 3 months and move him into a sleeping bag as well. His room is down the other end of the house next to DD's (2) and I dont want to wake her up during the night.
DS is very noisy! He sleeps in his room during the day in his pram. I am hoping to move him into his cot for his day sleeps soon!

DD is still in my room, she is 22 months.
I may move her out when bub comes, I may not. I haven't decided.
I might just buy some blackout curtains (which I would need to buy to move her into DS's room with him) and leave her in with me until I feel the need to move her.
