We just got back from the ENT and he wants to remove DS2's tonsils and adnoids(he already has grommets in). I am happy for him to have the OP, hoping it will mean an end to the past 15 months of infection on top of infection.
I couldn't book a date today as the nurse has to check with the anethetist to see whether they will preform this OP on a child his age. He is 19 months. I was confused as the surgeon had listed the anethetist he wanted, not sure why he'd do that if DS is too young.
My question is how old was your LO if they have had this OP.
Did it make a difference?
Realise it will be pretty rough on them for a week or so but if it stops all the infections it will be worth it I think.
Apparently we can go to the children's hospy at melb if they won't do it locally, hoping for local though!
