Hi there,
I've spent a few hours in hospital today, and been given Zofran to try and help my pregnancy sickness.
I was just wondering... if you were prescribed Zofran and it worked, did you use it your entire pregnancy?
I just can't imagine having to spend so much money per pill for another 15 weeks...........

Thanks in advance

:hugs: I was on 4-8mg per day for more than half my pregnancy with DS.

I have been 12mg per day since 6weeks this time, and I am now 21 weeks. I have just cut back to one tablet per day (4mg) as I am slowly improving. I have the kids in daycare 2 days per week now, and figure the extra rest i get from that might help.

Do you have private health insurance? We can claim up to $450 per year on private scripts, so my OB writes scripts for 10 x 4mg tablets with one repeat, so I don't have to go back and get them as often. It costs $89 to fill the script, and then i get $45 per script back (up to the $450) from PHI. It's still $$$, but better than getting the 4packs and going to the chemist every day, which is the last thing you feel like doing when you are so sick.

:hugs: Hope you feel better soon.

My 2 1/2 year old uses it for severe nausea.. It's brillant but we get the liquid disccounted from the children's hospital otherwise it would be $100 a bottle... we use 4 - 5 bottles a month... VERY good safe drug though!!! Guess it depends if u have nausea for your whole pregnancy

Hey Herch, I think the liquid is cheaper as at work we went from using the wafers to using the liquid to save money.
And...don't you have connections that can get you some? Think outside the square ;)

Thanks everyone.
I don't have private insurance.. bummer.

It's working well so far the last 2 days... it's nice when food and drink stay in your stomach for extended periods. LOL

Cheers all.
