hi girls,

i am just wondering what every one is doing/taking to help their BFP, and for the already mummys, what they did/took, that they think helped get their BFP? AND what have people told you not to do?

For me this month:

1. Using Preseed when we BD
2. Started a broad range of vitamins rather then just folate
3. Green Tea once a morning
4. OPK for 14 days starting 4 days before suspected O
5. Maybe baby monitoring
6. Stopped drinking pepsi max

I have previuosley tempt as well, but i washed my thermometer and put it in the dryer accidently (oops dumb i know) and now im unsure if it works.

Things i have been told to avoid:

1. Hot Baths, apparently this isnt good - i dont know why?!
2. Thinking about it, WHICH i find very hard, as when you want some thing so
bad its hard not to think about it.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

I thought I was doing a lot last two months, but no luck. So this month I have become more strickt on dh and myself. This is what we are doing.

1. Preg Multi for me, multi for dh
2. Calcium
3. Magnisium
3. Mint tea every day (detox)
4. Cranberry, prunes (juice or fruit) every day. (increse acidity)
5. No salt added to any of my cooking
6. No cafene, no chocky, coffee or tea. That includes green tea and chai:crying:
7. A diet that is recomended for conception though to preg. Lots of veg, fruit, no suger, no processed foods (cept holegrain bread and weetbix). no preservatives, emulsifier, or E-colouring. Organic meat when I can find it. No prcessed meats, cured/smoked meats or foods. I eat fresh fish when I can. lots of pulsis, beans and wheetgerm.
8. Vitex
9. Temp chart
10. cm chart
11. Daily exercise (but not sunday)
12. No drinking

Have been doing this since the January 1st. and by god that baby better hurry up because it's hard work keeping this lot up.

And what's with it. after all this, just thinking so hard about it makes it harder. You can't win:laughing:

Hi, I am:

1. Taking Elevit (Pregnancy Multivitamin)
2. Trying to eat lots of fruit and veges (I make home made chicken & vege soup at the start of the week and have a bowl every day for lunch).
3. Have no alcohol.
4. Cut down on my caffeine intake (cola soft drinks, tea, chocolate etc)
5. Try not to skip any main meals
6. Avoid stress (although that is not always possilbe is it!!)
7. Try to have periods of rest - look after myself.
8. Use Maybe Baby Ovulation Test (although I am still working out the best time of the day to use it - any suggestions?)
9. Charting my AF, when we BD, what my Maybe Baby test says, what symptoms I experience, when I do a pregnancy test.
10. Trying at all costs not to think too much about TTC, just trying to relax and let nature take it's course.

All the best with your TTC journey.

I am taking Elevit and EPO (only up until O) and also Maca powder. I am also drinking green tea and grapefruit juice to help with cm. DH is taking zinc and a good multi vitamin plus Maca. This is my first month of not taking vitex and I have already ovulated on day 12 ... (according to FF) which is good news because when I was taking vitex it was about day 21 - so it looks like I will be getting my 26 day cycle back :) Here's hoping for BFP's for us all soon :fingerscrossed:

Hi everyone
Last month I become so consumed with a regime(CM, BBT, etc) that this month I threw it out the window. BD when you feel like it and try to forget what you're trying to do. Makes things a lot more relaxed and less stressful. Other than avoiding what's bad for you anyways, eg. alcohol, sugar, etc. and taking preg vitamins.. i'm trying to keep an open mind and let nature take it's course.

great ideas guys!
I'm currently trying not to think about it this month, I was way too obsessed last month!

I'm not really doing anything special...

I'm just taking Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding vitamin and mineral capsules.

I don't drink or smoke anyway so that wasn't something I had to stop.

I don't do much exercise, though I know I should (the extra kilos are going to make the last tri-mester a pain in the bum).

I never knew about 'maybe baby' or 'macca' or anything like that before we started ttc.

I thought I was doing well 'trying not to think about it' till now (halfway through the tww). Now I'm really emotional (crying for no reason, nauseous, cranky and very confused) and dh thinks i'm a bit crazy... probably getting geared up for pms and then AF :gloomy:

I'm supposed to be drinking less alcohol but I'm writing this with a glass of red in my hand! I'm also supposed to be exercising more but I'm finding it hard to find the time. I was drinking more green & herbal tea and less of the caffeinated stuff but I seem to have let that go as well. BD'ing.... oh dear - this morning was the first time in 2 weeks.

It's not looking good, is it??

On the plus side, I'm taking folate, using Confirm OPK's and I'm reasonably happy with my weight.

yeah, I am going with the relaxed approach....

will stop drinking when I am actually pg, or heck the second part of my cycle, just in case.
Coffee, nahhhh cant live without it for now anyway, it keeps me relaxed lol.

I am taking folic acid, and aspirin, as I need that to keep a pg, had lots of miscarriages before due to clotting dissorder.

Oh, and I chart anyway, so thats going to help, and I guess might pull the maybe baby out ....

good luck everyone

I did this this last cycle and i fell pregnant so here it goes:

1. 4 Vite E tablets daily
2. Vitex tablets :- 2 in the am and 2 in the pm from day after ov only(I was told it increases progesterone and supperses LH so only take from ov)
3. 1/2 aspro daily until a couple of days after ovulation
4. Folic acid
5. Yakcult 2-3 a daily this is supposed to help balance ph for swimmers

I tried this combo and fell :smiliedance: after TTC for 8 months we were booked in to have AIH next cycle.
Good luck all
