Hello,

I am just seeking some advice from people who use Karicare Gold Starter Formula.

I have already contacted the Karicare 1800 advice line and I am waiting on call back from them.

The situation is that with the previous tins of Karicare Gold that I have used when I shake the bottle with the formula I get some froth at the top, which I consider to be normal, with the tin I am currently using there is no froth at all when I shake the bottle before and after heating.

I don't know whether this is normal with the formula or whether I should be concerned that there maybe something wrong with the formula ie. that it's off. The expiry date at the bottom of the tin says July 2007 so it should still be good.

I am about 3/4 the way through the tin and last night for the 1st time ds vomited up about 110 ml bottle of formula, lovely experience.

Any ideas whether no froth in the bottle still means the formula is okay? :banghead:

UPDATE
I telephoned the Karicare Advisory Line again this morning and they have offered to send me a free replacement tin of formula and to arrange for free courier return of the current tin for testing and will advise me of the results. Very happy with this service.

The funny thing is that the new tin I have just opened has the same batch time and numbers on the bottom as the previous tin I was using. But with this new tin the formula is once again frothing in the bottle. So I don't know, but there maybe something about having froth to indicate the batch is good?
