:barf::barf:
I am currently 11 weeks pregnant, and have suffered with morning sickness/nausea since 6 or 7 weeks, although i was unaware that i was preggers till i was 9 weeks.
It comes at anytime day or night, and when it hits, my whole body feels poisoned.
It consumes all of my energy, both mentally and physically.
I cant sleep at night.
My body tingles all over with this disguisting vibe. I feel as if i am just on the brink of vomiting for up to hours on end, before i just force myself to vomit to get relief.
Ive had gastro hundreds of times, but this just takes the cake when it comes to force and control.
It doesnt matter what i eat or which vitamin/mineral supplements i take to try and relieve it, nothing seems to have a positive or lasting effect.
I am seeing my GP today, to get a referal for my first Ultrasound, and i am concidering a prescription for maxalon, even though i hadnt wanted to put any medications through my body.
Ive been living on electrolyte drinks for the past fortnight, which has helped with my blood sugars. Ive felt quite deflated and dizzy as a result of the nausea/vomiting.
I also get the results from my blood tests today aswell. Im hoping all is well.
I am assured though that it should within the next week or two.
I want this to hurry up and be over with! Blah!

Sorry you are suffering so much.:( Sorry, but you have a long way to go, don't wish it over (just the MS!) hopefully the morning sickness doesn't last the whole time. I had a friend who vomited every day of her pregnancy, including as she was in labour..sorry it does happen. I didn't have it, so maybe I will have a rotten menopause :D

I feel for you as I am 11 weeks pregnant as well and in the grip of the awful MS :barf:
This is my second pregnancy and I am praying to get through to the 14th week when it cleared up last time.
In my first pregnancy I was anti-medication too. I suffered in silence - mostly because no-one else knew. I took panadol twice when I had to go somewhere special but otherwise just stuck to sucking peppermint lollies which helped a lot. I didn't ask the doctor for medication because most of the books say it is better to go without.
Now in my second pregnancy I am not so stoic. My new doctor gave me a prescription for Maxolon which I filled gratefully. It doesn't always work, but it is better than nothing. My sister also gave me her left-over Blackmores Morning Sickness Tablets - man that was miracle medicine! They are just ginger and vitamin B6 - so nothing but natural - but they have helped tremendously!! I take them three times a day - 8am, 2pm & 8pm. They bring the sickness down to only every two or three days. And then when I get a headache, I take soluble panadol - I find it much easier to drink than swallow tablets.
I know you think you are doing the "right" thing by refusing meds - but really you are torturing yourself. Get some help from your local chemist. And hopefully your ms will clear up in three weeks as I am hoping mine will! :yelclap:
I feel your pain too. I WILL be puking this baby out, just like the last one! haha
I don't like taking medications, but in this case, when it's bad it's necessary.
Nothing helps me, so I am the spew queen for another 14 weeks. hehe. I hope that it eases for you soon... it's not a nice thing to deal with.

I'm almost 9 weeks and my m/s has subsided a bit (except today is pretty horrible). I did take Maxalon a few weeks ago to get me through work and it took the edge off. Now, most days I just puke in the morning as soon as I get up and then I'm good for the day. I hope yours clears up soon.
With DS1 I had it bad until 13 weeks and then I developed migraines until 5 months so I puked from the headaches once a week. It was horrible but after Month 5 It was smooth sailing until I got pre-eclampsia.
B6 seems to be the key for some, ginger tea helped me with DS2. But I needed Maxalon this time around.
Good luck :hugs:

I know what your going through! My first pregnancy was a nightmare, i was vomiting all day and all night, no help from the local midwives or doctors, and felt like i wanted to curl up in a ball till it was over!! I`m now 12 weeks with my 4th bub, and yes i must be a glutton for punishment, but i`m taking 8mg of zofran, its a wonder drug for me. Give it a go, you might feel u can cope better. All the best!

I had it awful too. Try Blackmores Travel Calm- it is ginger and OMG it helped sooooo much for about 3 weeks till for some reason it stopped working. You haveto take 3 at first and then keep taking them as the packet says. They helped a lot.

Yes, i am feeling much better now that the nausea and vomiting have gone.
I am almost 17 weeks pregnant now, and only sometimes feel a little sick after taking my prenatal vitamins.

I believe i met you once. It was almost 22years ago, in hospital.
I believe i now call you "Mum"......

I spent nearly my whole pregnancy in hospital in drips for severe morning sickness. I used Zofran (very expensive but worth it). Can I also suggest coloured popcorn. I found this perfect because it provided glucose which helped me feel a little better and then it is easy to bring back up - as bad as that sounds.
awful. but every suffering leads to success. you still have a long way to go. be still. i know you can do it. you're blessed to be given an angel which others doesn't have and which others crave for.

Aww i feel for you :( I had terrible MS 24/7 up until i was 15 weeks preggers... i tried travelcalm tablets, seabands, ginger biscuits and anything else that was suggested to me! None of these helped so i gave in and got a prescription for maxalon... it worked wonders for me and i decided that i had to be able to eat for my baby and if i had to take maxalon then i would! I took it from 8 weeks until 15 weeks when it cleared up on its own! I wouldnt hesitate in taking it again - Goodluck :)

Hi ladies,
OMG i cant believe there is a whole thread for m/s ha ha
Well i am nine weeks and i have m/s all day 24/7 even when i wake up during the night to pee still feeln it then! Not :barf:but constantly nauseua like sea sick and hunger over and car sick all at once.
Have been busy googling remedies to help it, going to shops this arvo to get salt and vinegar chips, ginger ale, sugar free mint and my mumma also suggested glazed ginger?
Any other suggestions to help me cope with feeling like i wanna die ha ha
On the other hand i hear being sick is a good sign to show your hormones are on the up and up for the baby
