Hi

I'm a mum in Tugun and was wondering if there was a mum on the GC that has a copy of the "No Cry Sleep Solution" book that I could borrow? I was recommended it by a friend and am on a waiting list to get it from the library but am getting desperate... and feeling totally sleep deprived!

Also, if anyone knows of any sleep clinics or specialists on the GC I would be grateful for any information. I have an 8 month old that won't sleep alone without waking max every 2 hours, often every 45 min!!

thanks for any help!

Hi
I can email you a pdf copy of the no cry sleep solution.

I feel for you these times are so tough.

Local child health clinics do day stays where you take baby and yourself for a day with a child health nurse coaching you through.

Also in Brisy in the Ellen Barron centre where you can stay for a week but you just need a referal from your Dr.

Sorry cant go more in depth - in a rush but feel free to ask any Qs and ill check back

that would be awesome naomi... i'll PM you my email address.

my babe has good nights and bad nights, i think the hardest part is remembering that it doesn't necessarily reflect my parenting skills and that i'm NOT a bad mom if he doesn't sleep well at night. or am i?? i don't know. *sigh*

it's not easy listening to other people's stories of how their bubs sleep through or how i should try this technique or that cause it worked for them. i am anti-controlled crying. but accept that it works for some mums. and i understand that for anything to work, the mum has to believe in it and if i don't believe in controlled crying, it will never work for me. (plus, there's a dad involved most times and their opinions matter too.)

thanks so much for the info, i will have a look at the PDF before i try any clinic... if things get really tough i will definitely seek help, i'm from overseas and don't have any immediate family to take the baby for a night and realise that it is important to use what resources i do have!

time to catch some zzzs of my own while bub's down!
