tizzie hall - 9 month routine

hi all,

just wondering i have put my 9 month old son on tizzie's routine, a few days ago and its working. but still night waking at least once but i let him self settle, this happens at about 5am.

can anyone tell me there milk feed. i use to have zane on 4 milk feeds a day 4 hourly and a top up for bed. last week i went to 4 feed 4 hourly and now tizzie reommends 3. so today i have done what she says. it just seems a big gap for him in the arvo with no milk or food. 5 hours???

Does he have finger food snacks in the afternoon? Thats what I would suggest, maybe just a rusk or yoghurt, whatever is suitable for a 9mth old (ive forgoten!!) . I used Tizzie Hall till about 9mths then I moved to Gina Ford as I liked it a bit better for sleep times, (as they get a bit older 10-12mths they go off their food anyway and at 17mths like mine you are lucky to get them to eat anyting!!!!! :))

Why drop to 3 milk feeds ?

My DS is 2 and still has 4 bottles per day plus his food, essentially whatever he needs.

Why does she suggest you cut out a milk feed ?

not sure what they recommend 3 feed just the routine, i did it for a day then put back to 4 bottles. but he still waking at night? i am baffeled.

i have been trying to follow her advise on not going in but its hard at night as he gets really upset. the routine has worked during the day as he will go down awake now so that one positive.
