:wave:hi
My ds was 6 weeks prem, i was never givin a
reason, we are ttc #2 after 2 m/c's.
My husband was born 11/10 weeks early aswell i am unsure why but hes mother went on to have a full term baby 3yrs later.
how long was your bub in hosp for?
& how long have you been ttc for if i may ask?
:hugs:
Hi there, sounds like you've had a rough time. I'm posting to give some hope.
When I was 31 I had my first baby after 4 m/c.
She was born 12 weeks prem after my membranes ruptured at 25 weeks.
No reason given. She's now a happy healthy 9yr old.
Then it took about 5 yrs to concieve my now 3 yr old, so I was 37 when we had her.
I was an emotional wreak during that pregnancy, I was convinced she would come early and there would be a repeat of what happened with our first dd.
But she went full term (39 weeks) and was huge 4.8kg at birth
Now I'm 40 and expecting dd #3, I'm 25 weeks now, and just want to hurry up and get through this time which was when my first dd was born.
I'm much more relaxed this time around but will be really glad to get past the 28 week mark as there is a part of me that still worries that it could happen again.
Good luck ttc, I hope it hapens soon for you.
I was told that since there was no reason for my dd to have come early, the risk is pretty small that next bubs would come early too.

Hi! dd was in hospital for 2 months, which was not as long as expected. She was only in intensive care for a week because she was on CPAP then special care for 7 weeks. All that time expressing :hair: Oh and my sister had her last baby 11 weeks early too and my other sister had her last 5 weeks early. How long was your ds in for?
I got AF back after 5 months and have been trying ever since, so that makes it since September. I thought I was in with a chance this month but that nasty AF came 5 days early.....How long have you been trying for?

Hi! Thankyou for giving me some hope. I hope I don't take too long to concieve but at least it is good to know the chances are I will go on to have a full term bub.
I think I will be pretty stressed out though when it does happen at least til I get over the first 29 weeks. But hey it might give me an excuse to sit on my bum for 9 months eating Magnum Egos?? Resting, yeah thats what I'll call it, lol.
So are you expecting another dd or ds this time round or are you going for the big surprise?
Seems like they so the surprising with the first coming so early and the next 4.8kg, lol.

We have another girl on the way ;)
And yes, having such a huge bub the 2nd time was wierd, and very surprising! She was nearly 5 times the wieght of dd #1 at birth which was 1.022kg.
One thing I recommend for getting through your next pregnancy is some sessions with a psycologist.
I had to do that and it really helped get me through.
