Ran out of options!!!

We are the guests that we will be attending at a friend's wedding.... It seems I ran out of options that I am supposed to be myself I don't know what to do - how & help! :confused:

It said "dress code : cocktail" on invitation but we will be enjoying on the charter boat for 4 and half hours. We don't certainly that cocktail might be bit formal or informal or casual.

There also mentioned it said no shoes on boarding (oh boy!) How such it look shocked or bit embarrassed without shoes while we walk in on the charter boat. I know I will get some nail polish on my feet. Expecting my husband will be wearing the socks if take the shoes off!! :eek:

But don't know what I might wear the high heel or low heel or flat evening shoes? Because it can easily get slip down on the floor because dependly the wet from the sea/ocean.

Any suggestion? :idea:

I would go with the 'flat-but-but-nice shoe' option. I attended a cocktail dress wedding on a houseboat and i wore a black broderie anglais (spelling?) dress with satin trimmings (the dress sat just above the knee) and some patent black ballet flats.

Flat shoes will be handy for getting on and off the boat, great if you are standing for a long period of time and comfortable for any potential wedding dancing!! :laughing:

Thanks for the answer through! I will keep a eye on flat nice shoes whether the open toes or closed toes or kind evening scandals.

I will go to shopping and get a look at the shoe shops this weekend. :D
