Does anyone have any experience with them?

I found one at work today out in the full sun, clearly in distress- and the gardener said he picked up two dead adults this morning - so we are assuming that this baby is now an orphan.

RSPCA is now closed and the wildlife emergency line is obviously inundated with emergency calls today because they have been engaged for hours.

I have it in a box, with an ice brick wrapped in a towel and a shallow bowl of water - which it just drank out of, so thats a bonus at least - and a towel over the top to keep him in the dark.

I'm going to take him to the RSPCA tomorrow but in the meantime Is there anything else I can do for the poor baby?

If it doesnt make it through the night Im going to :crying:

I would take him to your nearest vets. They will check him over and then pass him onto wires

maybe you could try some cut up apple in his cage, you think he is old enough to eat it?

i think there would be a 24hr emergency line where even if they can't pick him up today they could give you some advice

Unfortunately not all Vets take wildlife.. the only one here is RSPCA.
And I rang all the emergency lines - they were engaged for hours due to the hot weather and so many distressed animals.

In any case - he survived the night - he bit me so I figured he must have been alright lol.

I dropped him at the RSPCA Saturday morning and the vet there said he was fine :D
