Well, that title should say it all.

What ha happened to my beautiful sleeper!

My DD is 9.5 months and has just begun to wake in the night, crying hysterically. The only way back to nod is being cuddled to sleep. The first time we have had to do that in months and months so very out of character for her.

She then wakes between 4am and 5 am regardless of how well she has slept the night before. We have a great bedtime routine and she goes into her cot on her own at 7pm every night without fail.

She then sleeps approx 4 hours through the day in 2 naps. One at about 8.30am and one at about 2pm.

There are a couple of issues here.........the night-waking I am sure is temporary :fingerscrossed: and due to perhaps teething but when coupled with the other issues makes for a very tired Mummy.

And the long day sleeps might be making her wake earlier than necessary but I cannot bring myself to wake a sleeping baby. What do you think good nap lengths are at this age to obtain a good nights sleep?

Can someone help? All suggestions appreciated please.

hello i have a 9 month old son zane and he sleep twice per day each being for approx 1 hour 20 mins.

i have just put him on the save pur sleep routine by tizzie hall. my son is waking at 5 but am letting him self settle which takes about half hour then waking between 6-7-8am.

today i have following her routine to a tee so hopefully in a week a change will occur, he is a pretty good boy anyway just needed fine tuning

hi just cooked!

My daughter is 9 months old and she also has a routine.
She wakes up at about 8 every morning and watches a little tv, Itry to let her wake up slowly and the she mostly plays with toys till bout 11, she has a nap for 1 hour and then I try to give her a fairly active afternoon. take her outside in her walker, do you have a jolly jumper?  (god bless them!) and off to bed bout 3 till 5. She then goes to bed at 8.30.

She does sometimes wake at 5 and want to get up but i think you just have to let them know whos in charge! lol.
All i can suggest is try to keep her awake a bit longer at nite. hope that helps!
