Just wanting to see who else has done. And your experiences with toilet training your children.

Thankyou chaseandlarasmummy. :hugs:

Today I started and well DS2 (2yrs 1mth) only done 2 pees all up. Which they were both accidents. Once he wet himself the first time I took him straight to he potty and he sat on there, then the second time he was already in the bathroom before me. It was like instant he new he had to go to the potty once he was wet.
He had a day sleep for 1.5hrs and well didn't even wet his jockies.
We went for a walk this arvo and he said "stop, wee" and he flopped it over the top of his jocks and said "done" but he really hadn't done anything.
After he had a bath I put a nappy on him. He didn't like that. "take nappy off" is what he said, so he did and I just put jocks on him.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day. :) Just need to stay patient, positive and persistant.

Proud mummy moment.
Well I was on the phone to dad earlier when DS2 came up to me and said "dark dark scared" he wanted to go into the bathroom. So, I turned the light on and took his jocks off and he sat down on his potty and started grunting (sorry tmi). He then get off and wiped his bum. He didn't do anything though but he knew what it was for.I told him that heas a good boy and that hes growing into a big boy. I am just so happy for him.
Bring on day 2 I say :)

I have an update on DS2. This morning shortly after he woke up I took his nappy off. About 20mins after that he went into the bathroom and I took is jockies off. And well he done a poo in the potty. :smiliedance::smiliedance:
I am so proud of my little man.
The cutest part was once he got off the potty he goes "oh, big poo, me big boy"
Hes was so happy with himself.

Then we went out for 2.5hrs and I thought I would risk having him in just jocks. (packed spares) and well the whole time there he didn't wet himself.
He did come home and I asked him if he needed to go and he said no, but ended up having an accident. He made it almost to the bathroom when he started peeing.
Atleast hes got the idea.

Wow that is great . Hannah still wears a nappy for sleeps and it is really heavy. She sleeps incredibly hard IYKWIM.

I have been a lot less stressed/worried about it over the last 2 days and things seem to go better when mummy is in a good state of mind.

At night time I will still put him in a nappy as he still wakes for milk.

I wasn't too worried about if DS2 didn' understand the whole TT business as hes only just turned 2. But he knows what he needs to do and what his body is doing. So, I think this time I might just stick it out with him. And yes he will have his accidents but we will just shrug them off.

4th day today and DS2 is doing fantastic. No accidents yesterday, he done a pee in the potty before he had a bath. He slept for 3hrs for his day nap and didn't do a pee.
This morning he done a poo in the potty. I am just so proud of my little man. He calls himself a BIG boy now. :)

This morning DS2 woke up and took his nappy off, done a pee in the potty and tipped it out into the big toilet.
What a great start to the day. :)

We are going to playgroup this morning so not sure what I am going to do as he will refuse to wear a nappy, I might just take the potty with me or just put a cloth nappy on him so he still feels the wetness.
What would you do?

mmmm same dilemma here as we have mothers group tomorrow. I have decided to just let her wear undies and will actually put her on the potty before we go and once we get there. I will probably ask her every so often when we are there.

Again she has just been going to the potty when she feels like it :yelclap: I am so proud of my baby girl

Well I had DS2 in jocks when we went to play group and he had an accident so I just put a nappy on him then when we came home he just took it straight off.

Just wanted to say I used this method to TT my DD nearly a year ago.

It was fantastic, brilliant and yes, lots of work for us Mummy's. Actually, I'd say it's no more work, it's just consolidated!

Good luck, keep going, the rewards are so worth it.

In nearly a year we've had about 3 accidents. All of which have happened at daycare, so 'unfamiliar' environment iykwim?...

Good news, I purchased the eBook for the 3 day potty training program! :yelclap: I'm so excited! I've found 3 days in around 2 weeks time and will be going for it properly. I've sent DH a copy of the book to read so that he knows what's involved, and will start the preparations next week.

I'm not telling anyone else though, I just want to do it and then after the 3 days I'll let them know, if they ask.

Wow, so exciting, I can't wait! Will let you know how I go :)

Got some really good news. :smiliedance::smiliedance:

DS2 didn't wet his nappy at all last night. :yelclap:
He woke up this morning and went to the bathroom, took his nappy off and done a rather long pee.
He still had to milks during the night. We will have to see how he goes tonight.

He seems to be doing really well.
This weekend I will have a nappy on him though as we are travelling 3hrs to the sunny coast on saturday for my SILs baby shower then going on a commodore cruise on sunday, then 3hrs back home.
But once we get back home he will be straight back into jocks. :)

Hows everyone going?
Well there was no accidents yesterday which is fantastic, less washing.
Looks like he had only done 1 wee in his night nappy. Thats still pretty good I think.
Today DS2 has been to the potty twice this morning and has done 2 pees. Very proud mummy here. :)

Hannah had no accidents at daycare yesterday at all :yelclap: . They said she just toddled off to the loo when she felt the need. I am so proud of my girl as I was really starting to doubt she was ever going to get it...

She had her sleeps without a problem as well so I am just so happy right now :D

Wow, everyone is going great! 2.5ish weeks to go for us. I was going to do it in 2 weeks time from Wednesday to Friday but I work Saturdays so I might do it the following Monday to Wednesday so that I can still keep an eye on him the following couple of days.

I can't wait to start!

Well DS2 is well and truly TT he such a good little boy. Even when we go out I either take the potty or take him to the big toilet whle shopping. He lets us know when he needs to go or he justs go bys himself. Has no problem taking his jocks off. :)
