Does anyone know of a physio that's good with pregancy-related problems? I have major issues with my sacro-iliac joint on one side and i reeeeeeeallly want to do something about it this time, but I'm not sure where to find a good physio. I tried a "normal" one and she helped a bit but not much - I think I need an expert :o

Thanks :)

There's one at the Wesley who I went to, she was really good on 'preventatives' as well as actual pain relief.

I can't remember her name :o but your OB or the Wesley Maternity unit should be able to refer you to her.

Hey lucy, I went to an acupuncturist in Sinnamon Park, I went for breech baby, but other lasses were there getting treatment for all sorts of aches and pains. The man was actually recommended to me by the midwives at the hospital... I really liked him, and the dude did turn!

If you are interested in getting needles stuck into you, I'll get his info for you.

..............or maybe we could make it an activity for the June brunch - everyone wears a blindfold and gets to stick a needle in Tea Lady

I've never had acupuncture, so I'm not sure how I'd go with it - I think I need some exercises to strengthen the muscles around the joint - do you think it would help with that?

R'smum I might give the Wesley a call - thanks :)

In fact I don't even know what your sacro-iliac joint is  . I just wanted you to know that I cared :D .

But acupuncture is great for lots of things... I don't love it, a weird feeling throughout the body, but it is good stuff.

So what is your whatsit joint anyway?
