I watched a movie last night called The Orphanage. It's subtitled but it was pretty good.
Its in the New Release section.

Gosh, I haven't watched a whole movie in years!
I like Foreign/Arthouse movies best. Saw an Iraqi movie "Time for Drunken Horses" which just made me :crying: for ages!
The Kite Runner is a good film but rather sad/disturbing.
Bank Job
Inside Man
Oh dear, I could suggest tons, maybe one a day!

Just saw Fanny Hill - read it a few years ago and (for a change) I thought the adaption did justice to the novel.
Waiting to watch Perfume (read the book about 18 months ago and got the DVD for my B'dy in October) and Gir with a Pearl Earring (which I got 2 months ago). I might see them through the dark winter months!
I was going to watch Fanny Hill last night but didn't get round to it in the end.
Steve and I weren't too impressed with Girl with the Pearl Earring, once you have seen it let me know what you thought.
have to agree with you there Jen, Girl with a pearl earing isn't that great.
step brothers is fantastic, laughed until i cried also my best friends girl is good too.
it's not often i get to watch an adult movie, i usually get stuck watching little mermaid or barbie movies with Alice..
if any of you get the chance to go to the movies go see bride wars, it's good chick flick and enjoyed our little outing last weekend. we should try and do it again soon.
i went and saw "bride wars" with my mum last weekend when she came and stayed...loved it, i love a good easy to watch chick flick...esspecially loved this one at the moment as i got engaged at christmas :D
Would love to join you all on a chick flick film session at some point soon, I just don't think Steve would cope too well with Maddison if I left them for a couple of hours.
I know I am going to have to at some point so he can get used to it, hehe but I think it could be a disaster.
id love a movie night. jenna, im sure steve will be fine with maddison, just have to get him used to it
it is hard though, the first time i left violet with matt for a few hours i think i rang every 5 minutes!! even though i know he would all me if there is a problem i just couldnt help it!
canberramomma, have you seen "the wrestler" yet? i loved it, sounds like you might enjoy that one. i seem to really enjoy sad movies!!
"the diving bell and the butterfly" is one of my faves, its so good, but god it makes me cry!
He would be fine with her if she was already asleep and settled for the night. She doesn't go down very easily for other people, even him, so it would be unfair to make him suffer all night. If she woke up she could probably get her back down again or just entertain her until I got home.
Will try it some time soon.
