Hi

We recently lost one of our twin boys both born preemie (7 feb 06) our little Oliver was 1000grms and Hamish 1700grm so not too small but for 32 weeks small. Hamish spent 6 weeks in SCN (1 in NICU) and Oliver 10weeks - sadly he never came home. That is another story with the coroner involved.

We always wanted 3 children, and we have had 2 ... so I feel only one more. The question in my mind is how long to wait, what would be rushing in, if it was too early would it be because I was wanting to replace the loss or because I wanted another?

Lissylou if you read this .... and anyone else as well as someone who has been through losing a preemie would you share any thoughts on how it was for you?

I also am mixed abour going back to work as I would want to be in my job for a while before taking maternity leave ... have no job to return to as moved back to Aus from London in January so starting again.

Shannon, I just had to reply. I have never been through anything like what you are going through but I just wanted to offer my support and give you this:hugs: I'm sure someone will be along soon who is more able to give you advice. I'm always happy to listen so feel free to PM me.

All I can offer is that if you feel in your heart you would like to have 3 and know in your heart your reasons for having another child I would say go with those feelings.

I hope I have helped even just a little.

Hugs to you and your family :hugs:

Do what you feel is right & when you are ready.
:hugs:
I would also have a good talk with your other half so you can at least both be on the same wave length about it all.
Take care :hugs:

Hi Shannon:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: Because you need them. Sweetie, my heart absolutely goes out to you. I can imagine the pain in your heart. I am so sorry for your loss. Me and my DH have struggled to continue to function following our loss, now 18months ago. It has taken us a very long time, and still dealing with how we are to feel, when we eventually conceive again.

Shannon, I have to go out again, but I will definately come back to this post and tell you a little of our story, to get to the point of trying to conceive again. I just wanted to say I'm hear, I've read your post and I will be back.

Shannon, can I ask or can you not say which hospital. Being a Brissy girl, I'm interested:idea:

P.s. I hope that little man of yours is doing wonderfully well.

Hi

It was at the Mater Mother's Hospital, we are still waiting for the coroners report to come in.

Hamish is a star and doing really well he is perfect for his corrected age now 5.5kg at 18weeks or 10weeks corrected and just lovely!
