Does anyone know whether you can take Provera while bfing? My 2 DS' were conceived on Provera and am wanting to look at no3 in the near future. Will have to start weaning now or can I take provera while bfing?

Any experiences?

Do you mean Depo Provera (http://www.healthsquare.com/newrx/dep1126.htm) injections, it is safe to use during breastfeeding and the link has the info.

Not Depo. Just provera. Have done a bit of reading in conception thread but no luck there either. Provera normally prescribed to bring on AF.

Sorry:o Provera (http://www.healthsquare.com/newrx/pro1361.htm) seems to have the same generic name as Depo Provera. Its OK as Depo Provera but seems not to be so OK as Provera? Maybe its something with the dosage? Check with your Fertility specialist maybe?

Can you tell me any more? Were you ttc? How long did you take it? How old was you bf child? Any help would be appreciated. :confused:

Finally got to the GP and he gave me the okay to take the provera while bf.
