Hi everyone. I have been TTC for 2 years now. My hubby and I have been seeing a fertility specialist who has confirmed that me and my husband are fine, so we have the ole' "unexplained subfertility" going on.
So, on to the land of fertility treatment. Yea!(cuz we all love it there right, right?)

I had my first round of Puregon in early December. (low dose of 50ui, because i ovulate normally on my own, so only enough to increase my chances, this is what my doc says). Did my trigger and had IUI about 36 hours later.....(forward 12 days later, AF starts), and my first try was unsuccessfull. As I am going thru the public system here in WA, the clinic closes down over chrissie and new year, so this cycle has just been natural.

I have always been regular, i.e O on day 13-15, 27-29 day cycles. But this month my cycle has been so out of wack. I am currently on day 34 and only just spotting. I think (according to taking my temp) I O'ed late, around day 19, but not sure.

Now for my question, have any of you that have taken FSH (puregon) when you went back to a natural cycle, was it out of wack?. It's just that this cycle has been so different that normal for me...i guess there is part of me that thinks I may have fallen preggo's naturally.:smiliedance: Now, imagine that!

thanks all

 and Welcome...

I found when I did a natural cycle in between the IVF cycle's when I was on Puregon, my cycle was a bit out of wack, I use to be 28 day girl all the time then I went to 30, 35, 29 all over the place, so I think it could be the puregon, when I asked my FS she said it was quite normal to be all over the place in between fertility treatment...

I want to wish you all the best wit TTC:hugs:

Woo Hoo, my first reply!

Thanks for your feedback, I kinda had a feeling that was the case.

So your preggies with twin boys! How lucky are you! Well, I think that was worth the 5 year wait. Well done to you and your partner!

Your welcome:hugs: Thank you it was well worth the wait, we did nearly 3 years on fertility treatment with 6 IUI cycles and 5 IVF but it all seems so distant now that we are pregnant....I would do it all over again if I had to...

Hi hun and welcome!!!

I was on puregon. I did 6 cycles, 3 with out trigger. Then i did 3 with the trigger. Each cycle for me got longer and longer. I only did natural cycles i never did iui

My last cycle was about 4 weeks before i actually o'ed. I also fell preggers with twins on that cycle. (looks like i only released one egg).

I really do wish you the best of luck. I trully hope that puregon works for you :hugs:

Hi

I am in exactly the same position. I did my first cycle of IUI with puregon in December and am now on a natural cycle waiting to start my next IUI. My cycles aren't exactly clockwork regularly, but I have been told to expect "different" cycles in between treatements. IYKWIM

Good luck, you never know you could have fallen naturally... anything is possible.

If not, feel free to join us in the IUI thread, which is in the fertility treatment part of the TTC area. There's not many of us so we'd love some extra company!

:fingerscrossed: that you get your :bfp: very soon!

hi,

all the drugs in iui and ivf will stuff your body around even if u have been off them for a month or two.
after one of my ivf cycles i had a 23 day cycle then the next month it was a 29 day cycle.
normally i am a 26 day cycle. atleast they evened themselves out!
honestly i cant remember with my iui cycles iv it mucked my body around after or not, i am sure it probably would have but it has been over almost 2 years since the first one so yea cant be sure.

good luck hope your next attempt is successful.

Thanks everyone for you feedback. Well the next day after posting this question, AF showed up. So, now I know that Puregon can put your natural cycle out of wack!

Will start round two of Puregon tomorrow. Wish me luck everyone!
