short or long sleeve bodysuits

Hi everyone

I'm putting together a whole bunch of bodysuits for gifts and just wondering what would be best - short or long sleeve bodysuits.

Even though we're in the height of summer I'm tempted to buy the short sleeve bodysuits not to mention they're cheaper but winter won't be too far away either so I'm not sure.

What are you buying right now short or long sleeve bodysuit singlets??

I guess it depends when the baby is due and how quickly you would like the gift to be used.

Hi, my first bub was born in summer up in the tropics and I used short sleeve body suits during the day but found that the long sleeve ones helped her sleep better through the night. Even now, my daughter will sleep better with a long sleeve nightie or long pants Pj's than she will in just summer Pj's even though it's still high 20's at night, lol.

why not just get a few of both. if they are still big enough in winter the short sleeves are good under long sleeve tshirts.

what sizes are you getting?

Personally i never used the long sleeved ones in winter as they have nothing covering the legs and are not warm enough in winter.. i just put on a long sleeve top and long pants instead.. and a sleeping bag if really cold.

I used the short sleeve bodysuits in Winter under long sleeve tops.

They are fantastic for when the baby starts crawling/caterpillar crawling esp in Winter so that their tummy does not get cold on the floor while the long sleeve top rides up.

Short sleeve bodysuits can always be used in place of a singlet under clothes in winter for extra warmth and great when the weather is cool in the morning/evening but hot during the day.

They are great as T shirts in the summer and they the best singlet in winter.

Buy both. Just buy the long sleeve ones a size bigger. Then it will fit the child when the weather turns cool.

I would get both. I use short-sleeved ones under her gro-bag in summer and long sleeved ones for the in-between seasons (autumn and spring). Both lots then get a work out in winter as layering.

I bought a whole bunch of short sleeve ones and got a long sleeve for my daughter.

Now I'm feeling some colder weather I think I'm going to get some longer ones as well.
