I'm just wondering whether private health funds cover antenatl and aqua fitness classes...

i was told that they only cover classes run by a qualified physio. Where can a I find a qualified physio who does antenatal stuff?

Thanks

The way I found out was through my local pool, they had a timetable of physio's using the hydrotherapy which included aqua mums. My suggestion would be contact your local swimming pool (generally I think it would need to be indoors and ideally have a hydrotherapy pool) and they will tell you whether any physio's run classes there. Some physios do have there own pools but generally they would be run at the local swim centre.

Alternatively ring some local physios and ask them. I know the physio that runs our aqua mums classes also run antenatal pilates classes which again would be covered by health insurance as well.

where are you?

I am in WA and they have hydrotherapy for both ante-natal and Mum and new bubs which are claimable from PHI at SJOG Subi.

I only did the mum and bubs ones ... needed a referral from obs ... then was pay as you go. Cost was $22 per session and I got $15 back from HBF
